LabVIEW 2013 Sound and Vibration Analysis LabVIEW声音和振动工具包NISV2013

  • LabVIEW 2013 Full or Professional Development System (32-bit) or (64-bit)

NOTE: Sound and Vibration Toolkit and Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite are supported in the LabVIEW Real-Time Module
  • At least 2 GB of available disk space

  • At least 1 GB of RAM

  • NI-DAQmx 9.7.5 or later installed for NI-DAQmx support

Refer to the LabVIEW Readme for additional system requirements and supported operating systems for LabVIEW 2013.

Installation Instructions

You must be logged in with administrator privileges to install the Sound and Vibration Toolkit or the Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite. Note the following consideration when installing these products:
  • You cannot install the Sound and Vibration Toolkit 2013 on a computer that has the Order Analysis Toolkit 2.1 or earlier installed. You must purchase and install the Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite 2013 to use order analysis functionality with the Sound and Vibration Toolkit 2013.

Installing from the LabVIEW 2013 Platform DVD

You can install all of your LabVIEW products—including the Sound and Vibration Toolkit or the Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite—using the LabVIEW 2013 Platform DVDs. You can find installation and activation instructions in the LabVIEW Release Notes, which are available in your LabVIEW software kit.
To request additional LabVIEW 2013 Platform DVDs, refer to the National Instruments Web site.
Note: If you purchased this product with an NI Software Suite or NI Product Bundle, use the installation media that shipped with your purchase to install this product.

Installing from the Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite DVD

Complete the following steps to install the Sound and Vibration Toolkit or the Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite:
  • Disable any automatic virus detection programs before installation. Some virus detection programs interfere with the installation program.

  • Insert the Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite DVD and follow the instructions that appear on the screen.

  • Activate the Sound and Vibration Toolkit or the Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite using the NI License Manager.

New Features: Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite

The Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite includes the following new features:

Support for LabVIEW 2013

Support for LabVIEW 2013 does not remove previously installed support for LabVIEW 2012 and earlier.

Stimulus-Response Test API

Use the Stimulus-Response Test VIs to configure and generate test signals for stimulus-response measurements. Use the Buffer VIs to access and parse data in parallel code. Together these VIs can be used to write stimulus-response test applications with modular code segments for
  • Test signal generation

  • Analog output

  • Analog input

  • Processing

Automating the Installation of NI Products

You can automate the installation of most NI products using command-line arguments to suppress some or all of the installer user interface and dialog boxes. However, starting with the August 2012 releases (products using NI Installers version 3.1 or later), you may need to perform additional steps before or during a silent installation of NI software.
If the NI product you are installing uses Microsoft .NET 4.0, the .NET installer may run before any NI software installs and may require a reboot before the installation of NI software begins. To avoid a .NET reboot, install .NET 4.0 separately before you install NI software.
For more information, refer to the following KnowledgeBase articles:
  • For more information on silent installations of individual NI products, refer to KB 4CJDP38M, Automating the Installation of a Single Installer.

  • For more information on silent installations of suited NI products, such as NI Developer Suite, refer to KB 4GGGDQH0, Automating the Installation of a Suited Installer.

  • To determine what version of NI Installers your product contains, refer to KB 4CJDR18M, How Can I Determine the Type and Version of My National Instruments Installer?.

How to Use NI Software with Microsoft Windows 8

When you install National Instruments software on Microsoft Windows 8, you will notice a few additional tiles on the Start screen, including shortcuts to NI application software products such as NI LabVIEW, Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX), and the new NI Launcher.

Using NI Launcher

NI Launcher helps you find and launch installed NI products. It provides you with a method of finding NI products similar to the Start menu in previous versions of Microsoft Windows. To use NI Launcher, click the NI Launcher tile on the Start screen. NI Launcher launches the desktop and opens a menu containing a list of NI products. Click any NI product to launch it.
Note  MAX does not appear as a desktop shortcut when installed on Microsoft Windows 8. You can launch MAX either from the Start screen or from within NI Launcher.

Pinning Frequently Used Applications

For convenience, you can pin your most-used NI applications, such as MAX, to either the Start screen or the Taskbar on the desktop, as necessary:

Windows 8 DesktopDesktop TaskbarRight-click application and select Pin to Taskbar
Windows 8 DesktopStart screenRight-click application and select Pin to Start
Windows 8 Start screenDesktop TaskbarRight-click application and select Pin to taskbar from the menu bar on the bottom of the screen

Finding All Programs

If you want to find a particular application or related files, such as documentation files, from the Start screen, you can access all installed files by right-clicking anywhere on the Start screen and selecting All apps. A list of all installed software and related files appears, in alphabetical order by creator or type.
